Diversity of Textbooks Guarantees Quality of Teaching

Diversity of textbooks and educational materials guarantees quality of teaching. Providing opportunities for the teachers to choose between them is vital for the success of the educational process. These were the main conclusions, reached by the participants in the two-day conference “European Practices for Selection and Distribution of Textbooks”, which was organized by the Association of European Educational Publishers Group and Bulgarian Book Association.
The conference was opened by the chairman of the parliamentary commission for education Mr. Ognian Stiochkov and the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, Mrs. Mlena Damianova. At the conference took part representatives of governmental institutions and leading publishers from Finland, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Australia, France, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia, as well as experts from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science,  major  educational publishers in Bulgaria and NGOs working in the sphere of education.
